Each ceramic platter is shaped by hand, with an emphasis on form, texture and movement. Natural variations in colour, surface and shape are embraced as part of the making process, giving every piece its own character. Clays are often marbled or stained to bring depth and variation, while glazes, stains or oxides are brushed, sprayed and poured to create expressive, gestural surfaces. Traces of touch are purposefully preserved, highlighting the presence of the artist and the rhythm of the process. No two pieces are the same.
